Build and lead customer-centric software innovation departments: Internet-of-things platform, software-as-a-service, industrial internet of things, apps and data analytics Create a customer and business driven ecosystem with an international, cross-functional and intercultural mindset

Task: Strategic development of cross-corporate and cross-national manufacturing technology centers Drive modern and differentiating manufacturing - Intelligent connected fab and digitalization - Industry 4.0 and industrial internet of things (IIoT) - Automation and test systems - MES (manufacturing execution systems) - Plastic molding - Coatings (physical and chemical vapor deposition) organized in 4 cross-national departments

Task: Develop competitive product concepts for LED systems in close collaboration with marketing, purchasing, product development and industrialization Lead the department and technology field for LED lighting modules Lead major cross functional and global projects (e.g., project lead for the world record 2014, the most efficient LED tube)

Task: Set up a new predevelopment lab for LED modules and LED packages from scratch Establish a research and process development team for innovative wafer level packaging Optimize full production cost and assess profitability of new technologies Initiate parallel processing concepts for the business unit Opto Semiconductors as basis for cost down and system integration; install a wafer level pilot production line for innovative packaging

Project lead of advanced development projects for internal and external customers (Siemens Business Units, Epcos, Qimonda, Infineon, German Railway) Expert for advanced substrates, printed circuit boards and packaging technologies for electronic modules and components Process engineering for interconnect technologies Transfer of prototypes into volume production Feasibility studies and qualification Assessment of reliability and cost
