Balakrishna Soorali Ganeshamurthy

Here in this institute I work as a Research student and pursuing my PhD. degree. I carry out my research in the field of nanotribology which deals with the aspects of friction wear at the nanoscale. I use Atomic force Microscope (AFM) in ultra-high vacuum conditions to look into the mechanical and electrical properties of graphene which are grown on platinum single crystal during my PhD. I have gained expertise in nanoscale characterization of surfaces and computer programming in LabVIEW.

I was a research assistant at this Institute and I was actively involved into research of nano-materials graphene molybdenum disulphide like thin films. I worked extensively with Atomic force microscope for characterization of thin films and for their electrical, magnetic and mechanical properties. Also I worked with SQUID magnetometer for magnetic property characterization of magnetic nanomaterials. I have handful of knowledge in computer programming languages l like C,C++ MATLAB and LabVIEW.
