During my one-year internship I learned the process of car wiper systems design, analysis and manufacturing. I received an own development area that later became my Master’s Thesis. This included following tasks: Building a simplified, parametric finite element model of the wiper system kinematics to calculate forces at the connections and the loading of components | Implementing a plugin in the finite element software that allows making a sensitivity study of the system parameters automatically |

This small aircraft company manufactures composite ultra-light aircraft and the Corvus Racer, that is flown in the Red Bull Air Race series. The internship position and my Bachelor’s Thesis at the company included: Learning the manufacturing process of the ultra-light aircraft. | Fluid dynamics simulation and optimization of wing flap geometry | Leading a small university group of students doing simulation, wind tunnel testing and data acquisition |
