Benedikt Sondermann

As a Systems Engineer, I consult and guide Aruba's customers and partners on which networking products they need and on how to effectively use them within their environment to make them deliver real value to the customer. I am responsible for building custom solutions out of Aruba's and Aruba's technology partner's products. In the daily business, I give technical presentations and demos, and I perform Proofs of Concept to showcase the custom solution's ability to integrate into the customer's environment.

As a side job, I give lectures and seminars about IT Security, Artificial Intelligence, Business Model Innovation, Business Process Management and Web Programming to students in the Bachelor degree program "Business Information Systems – Sales & Consulting".

After my undergraduate (B.Sc.) studies, I started my graduate (M.Sc.) studies at University of Duisburg-Essen, while working in the Presales team of Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company.

Between and after my "Abitur" exams (similar to high-school exams), I worked for TriaNet (today: Jörgenshaus & Lieten IT GmbH) on a "mini job" basis. It was my task to help improve the IT infrastructure of two schools and to establish a user account concept for shared computers used by the students and teachers.

My Master's thesis with the title "Development and Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models for User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) in Corporate Networks" was graded 1.0, and I finished my studies with a total average grade of 1.0 (best possible grade).

During my Undergraduate Studies, I participated in the summer school at University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa (Ontario, Canada). The focus of the lectures I attended and the project my team worked on was the Internet of Things (IoT).

My Bachelor's thesis (Cost-Effectiveness Analysis for the Evaluation of Object Storage Solutions and Recommendations on the Application of the Cost-Effectiveness Analysis for Future Decisions) was graded 1.0 (best possible grade), and I finished my studies with a total average grade of 1.3.
