Development of large area thin-film electrodes and organic photovoltaic devices on flexible substrates

- Development of semi-transparent electrodes suitable for large area and flexible OPVs using standard photolithography processes - Vacuum/solution processing of thin films using various thin film deposition techniques for highly conductive flexible thin film electrodes for OPVs - Surface characterisation, morphology and uniformity optimisation of the developed thin film devices and semi-transparent electrodes

Working on the project 'all-solution processed organic solar cells on non-transparent bottom electrodes'. The tasks included are, among others: - preparation of bottom metal electrode by printing and coating of thin metal layer; - test compatibility with following layer in terms of printability and conductivity, etc.; - preparation and evaluation of polymer solar cells with bottom metal electrode and comparison with reference devices;

Performing experiments from solution preparation to fabrication and to final characterization of the organic photovoltaics (OPVs) as well as reporting and discussion to find better development solutions for the technology.

Main tasks included assistance to researchers and scientist with their work by assisting with the daily tasks such as optical and electrical characterization of OLEDs; constructing experimental measurement setups (design of measurement setup for I-V-L at higher temperature); evaluating, analyzing and reporting of measurement data.
