• Implementing and investigating physical layer signal processing algorithms in link level simulator using MATLAB and C/C++ • Performance evaluation of algorithms • Debugging, error fixing and code restructuring

The responsibilities included • Writing test specification based on 3GPP standards and internal specifications • Implementation in a test bench involving Rhode and Schwarz test equipment, in particular SMU 200A and CMW 500. • Test execution, filing error reports and following the errors until resolution • Automation of test case and regression testing

Investigated network layer and physical layer issues for an OFDM-based data transmission system using light-emitting diodes and photodiode. The project was a joint collaboration with a consortium of several partners. I was responsible for • Designing physical layer algorithms to be implemented on a prototype built using FPGA, • Simulating the complete transmitter and receiver chain for the optical OFDM system as a reference design, • Writing project report and participating in project meetings.
