Topic: Integrated directional couplers for RF Mobile Front-Ends implemented in bulk RF-CMOS technology.

RF Frontend electronics: • verification and characterization of integrated directional couplers with power detectors using Agilent ENA vector network analyzer; • TRL calibration of measurement setup; • measurement results collected through a Matlab interface.

Development of fire detectors and peripherals: • characterization of fire detectors in smoke ducts according to the standards EN 54-7 and UL 268; • planning series of measurements, testing and evaluation the results; • design of a relay circuit and implemented a Labview interface for measuring the gas pressure.

Hardware development / PCB Design: • design of PCBs for ASIC evaluation; • simulation of analog-digital circuits; • implementation of a Matlab interface between an ASIC evaluation board and an Altera microcontroller.

Finding causes that lead to the development of a manufacturing defect and providing this information to the right person to take corrective actions on the production process: • interpretation of the error messages generated by test equipment; • identifying manufacturing defects for different electronic boards; • generating solutions for the repair team to remedy the identified defects.
