• Drive and contribute to systems studies in LTE & 5G in the area of Radio Resource Management and also the Radio Physical Layer. • Develop software simulations for the performance analysis of LTE & 5G features and algorithms, both link-level and network-level simulations. • Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools and processes. • Contribute to advances in LTE & 5G Standards. Update our Statement of Compliance to relevant standards.

• Lead 5 team members on carrier aggregations (intra- and inter-band, cross RATs) and inter-working between 5G with 4G/Wi-Fi networks. Efficiently add our research to the product. • Develop system level simulations using Matlab, Python and C for analyzing 5G new features in the area of machine learning, data science and advanced spectrum sharing technologies. • Design new optimization algorithms for our products aiming at maximizing network capacity for joint Wi-Fi and multi-cell LTE networks.

• Built the world earlier group on the inter-working between unlicensed LTE and Wi-Fi. Awarded grants by H2020 DECADE/is3DMIMO/SSF, including the earliest projects on LTE and Wi-Fi cooperation. • Published the world's first survey on LTE-LAA and Wi-Fi coexistence (80+ citations). • Developed new spectrum utilization solutions for LTE networks at both network level and packet level. • Designed new optimization algorithms for deploying 4G/5G HetNet.

• Significantly extended Ericsson and Nokia's multi-cell radio resource management model to a new area, i.e., resource optimization for joint Wi-Fi offloading/LWA and multi-cell LTE-U. • Played bridge in linking academy and industry. Described the industrial requirements mathematically to academic partners. • Applied my understanding of 3GPP standards to help academic researchers to design practical optimization methods and spectrum utilization methods.
