I provide policy guidance to program offices responsible for drafting standardized scopes of practice for healthcare professionals employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, in response to an interim final rule to issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, I act as a subject matter expert on best practices for healthcare policy and professional licensing protocol and serve as liaison for the Standards Internal Review Group and VHA subject matter experts.

As director, I provided guidance on policies and objectives involving state and federal government affairs, while maintaining positive relationships with government and associated authorities. I was responsible for multiple executive duties within FSSA that require a high degree of discretion in interpretation, application and execution of all agency or department policies and programs. I oversaw two teams: Program Administration and Government Relations, and the managers of those teams.
