LTE Evolution and 5G

Analysis and optimization of algorithms for traffic offloading with the new LTE feature Dual Connectivity (DC). The performance evaluation is related to end-user benefits in heterogeneous networks with Dual Connectivity. This project is being developed within the Radio Protocol Research Department at the EuroLab Ericsson. Ending of the project: December 2015.

Testing in commercial mobile networks of state-of-the-art LTE/UMTS/GSM Qualcomm chipsets, system software solutions and the associated protocol stacks (layers 1-3). Analysis and debug of issues found during the tests related to stability and performance of the chipsets.

Diagnostic and troubleshooting of CS core network and VAS platform failures. Design and planning of O&M change requests to improve the CS core network performance. KPI analysis for CS core network and end-users (QoS and QoE).

Troubleshooting, operation and maintenance of international roaming services (voice and data services). Project manager for the integration of VAS platforms for roaming international services. IREG testing with other mobile operators around the world.

Deployment, operation and maintenance of CS & PS mobile and NGN networks. Main interface for the clients to analyze and resolve product specific issues. Support and troubleshooting for CS and PS network elements for wireless service providers in Colombia.
