My core responsibilities at Patheon (formerly DSM) are: Manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in compliance with international quality regulations; development of facility, utilities, and equipment. Vendor management and raw materials management; development of standard operating procedures and company documentation; validation.

Development of the Brisbane facility by working on URSs of equipment & utilities for internal fit-out. Worked with our sister facility in Groningen, The Netherlands. Write & develop company documentation, specifically SOPs. Review plans & design specifications for manufacturing processes that meet production cost & quality performance standards. I am a subject matter expert on bioprocess engineering & in addition to executing manufacturing of batches, my responsibilities in Operations include validation.

Improving & implementing fermentations and isolation & purification of enzymes, and working on efficient and cost effective production of enzymes (DNA Polymerases & dUTPase) of importance to the company. Management responsibilities and acquisition of business skills. I also worked in quality control and customer support, and had operations manager responsibilities. This environment was a fast paced, high stress environment with changing pressures and deadlines.
