Responsible to manage engineering & quality efforts to accomplish goals of company in terms of swap, bounce, on time delivery, meant time between failures and time to repair, driving continuous improvement across the repair suppliers base in the LATAM region for the blackberry account. As relevant accomplishment is the reduction of swaps from a 50% avg in the LATAM area to a 18% impacting in cost savings above 600K USD in a year

Responsible to manage quality assurance efforts of EMS partners in the manufacturing and repair services for blackberry phones to accomplish goals in terms of Yield, DPM, customer complaints, internal audit score, bone pile, corrective action closure focus in new supplier development.

Lead the planning and implementation of project, facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, define project tasks and resource requirements, develop full scale project plans, assemble and coordinate project staff, manage project budget & resource allocation, plan and schedule project timelines, track project deliverables, provide direction and support to project team, report on progress of the project to all stakeholders

Review, compile budgetary project data and integrate project Schedule, Cost Book review and approval, Drive trade-off decisions and actions as required, Review tooling, test, and manufacturing plans to ensure they meet program objectives; Develop the EB/VB/AB Build Allocation Matrix with inputs from the entire team, Oversee all build prep and execution activities to ensure they meet program milestones, Ensure resources and plans are in place to resolve red and yellow flag items

Product Engineering and New Product Intruduction leadership

Quality & Process - Assessments, Gap Closure, Agile Process Improvement, Methodologies, Metrics, Estimating - Process Definition, Estimating Tools, Estimating Training/Enablement Management of development of Tool Automation, Change Management - Knowledge Transfer, Training, Mentoring, Coaching, Responsible for release of new product into production.

General Supervision of the automatic insertion area ( production, maintenance, planning, warehouse, quality), budget control, ramp up estimations, define quality targets, mentoring supervisors and area engineers, drive production & quality performance, Implementation of housekeeping standards (5S/C), training plans.
