As Department head of QA Chemical Production I was responsible for the compliance of all chemical cGMP production activities. This includes taking strategic decisions as well as maintaining the quality system and managing the QA organization in this area. With reorganizational changes I managed between 3 and 10 direct reports with up to 50 indirect reports. I was registered with Swissmedic as Responsible Person for Chemical Production in Visp and as Responsible Person for Traded Goods in Basel.

The 'FCC' is the largest chemical cGMP production facility of Lonza in Visp. In this function I was responsible for the compliance of all cGMP regulated products produced in this facility as well as the management of the QA group with 10 individuals.

I started my professional carreer at Lonza as R&D Chemist managing a R&D lab with two technicians. With increasing responsibility I developed several products (ISO and cGMP regulated) from the lab into large scale productions. Early in 2000 I was fully responsible for the first large scale solid phase peptide productions under cGMP and soon managed several other projects covered by more than one R&D lab as well.
