Über mich

My passion for science motivated me to attend the University of Tunis El Manar as soon as I finished high school. I graduated with a M.Sc. in Molecular, Cell Biology and Biotechnology and finished two years in the top of my class. Therefore, I have been holder of excellence scholarship. I volunteered for seven internships and received valuable experience in the lab testing field that prepared me for my work as a Research Assistant in Molecular Microbiology at Pasteur Institute of Tunis. My area of research addresses the study of mycobacteria to accelerate the diagnosis of tuberculosis. As an early career researcher, I have studied the phenotypic and genotypic antibiotic resistance of enterococci and characterized emergent pathogens such as Salmonella, Candida albicans and Candida auris. My academic record and experience have provided me an excellent background in microbiology and molecular biology. My long term goal is to continue my doctoral studies to become an academic researcher.
