"Detection of Shape Defects" : Developed a software tool (MATLAB code) -“Pinch detection tool” to analyse the images received from Surface inspection system. This tool performs tail pinch classification of steel strips by ripple detection in the 2D Gray scale strip images.

> Responsible for carrying out hot rolling of mild steel plates & coils > Scheduling of rolling parameters as per quality requirements in Level-2 automation > Maintaining and monitoring proper thickness of plates & coils > Work Roll & Back up roll change activities > Laminar cooling setting for cooling of plates at desired temperature

The whole project involved the designing of PLC based hydraulic circuit for clamping and de-clamping of work-piece in V-900 Machining center in order to reduce operator fatigue, to reduce uneven stress acting on work-piece and to increase productivity.
