Cobol Developer working on SD Worx Payroll system in Germany. Working within an Agile environment using Azure DevOps as the main project tool. Maintaining and enhancing legacy Cobol programs on IBM i platform.

Java Developer and Project Coordinator working with Java, Springboot and associated technologies as well as coordinating projects with our development partners based in Poland. Working in a Agile environment using Confluence and Jira as project tools. Coordinating requirements for current Sprint goals and ensuring the deployment of our application and supporting architecture from development through to production.

I returned to Santander UK Technology Ltd (formerly Isban UK) to perform the role of a Systems Integrator responsible for the implementation and migration of new software. I’m now developing microservices using Java and Springboot and implementing APIs using IBM Connect within an Agile working environment.

Customizing the company’s bespoke distribution system running on Unix using AcuCobol. My role was to gather and analyse user requirements, produce Business and Technical Specifications estimating the effort required to complete the identified tasks. I also wrote new programs and amended existing programs using AcuCobol.

Working in a client’s operations and network department responsible for 31 IBM VSE machines and associated Unix servers running systems for 6 countries. Liaising with the business and development areas to ensure the smooth delivery to the Production environment of new and improved existing processes.
