I focused on the design, implementation and strategy for group wide Vulnerability Management of infrastructure and digital platforms. Focusing on the design and deployment of scanning tools to support the business with a risk based approach, I engaged with CIO, CTO and wider teams on behalf of the CISO. While supporting delivery of the Vulnerability Management platform, I also supported Proxy reviews, Cloud Security reviews and provided advice on simplification of network infrastructure.

I focused on the security aspects of project delivery across the AXA UK Group, including but not limited to design and delivery to ensure the controls remain in place into BAU. I work closely with IT teams across AXA to achieve secure solutions within the AXA UK risk appetite. The role requires me to liaise with Group, UK CTO and Operating entity architecture teams, including Security architecture, to maintain consistency across group strategy, and to maintain governance over the UK IT Systems.

While working at Howdens to maintain and implement security technologies I am directly involved in the AV, IPS, Vulnerability Management, SIEM, WAF, DLP architecture and implementation. I am also responsible for monitoring the corporate information security policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines while ensuring the company is supported by the appropriate technology to ensure Howdens Business Information is protected, in alignment to Cyber Security best practice.

Responsible for protecting all sensitive information at VMware and ensuring all networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorised access. As part of the Security Analysis team I help develop reports to share with administrators about the efficiency of security policies and recommend any changes. The team is responsible for ensuring other employees are aided in safeguarding their security and information as well as adapting to the ever shifting and changing threats that persistently face the company.

The Communication Systems Engineer is the technical expert in the challenging and rewarding environment of Army communication technology. Responsible for the engineering, management and maintenance of a wide range of information and communication systems at the leading edge of military communications. Dealing with different forms of digital and satellite communications, wireless and internet based systems, while also working hand in hand with hardware and software from industry leaders.

The Position Involved managing a 300 man team of employees, Ensuring the smooth running of the Area NRW-Nord (North-West Germany), Developing quarterly budgetary forecasts for the District and ensured forecasts met Regional guidelines. I served on a team that created short and long-term district objectives in accordance with regional goals. Although these were the basis for the position I quickly found myself managing clients as well as scheduling and shipping personnel and equipment throughout Europe.

The Position involved maintaining high standards of off ground instruction for an outdoor experiential development centre, Risk Assessing and Staff training. The activities that I instructed ranged from abseiling and climbing to leadership development tasks and team trust tasks. While working for the small business I was also responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and developing the Web presence.
