• CAR T Franchise Medical Lead developing strategies and realizing projects for medical data communication, clinical and preclinical research, HTA negotiation and routine medical care together with multidisciplinary team • Medical responsibility for the EMPLICITI HTA process • Lead of a team of highly talented colleagues working on the Multiple Myeloma franchise, supporting mature brands (REVLIMID, IMNOVID, EMPLICITI, ABECMA) and compounds in development • Support of the local clinical trial portfolio

• Main contact for local preparations for implementation of cellular therapy • Strategic responsibility for indications liver cancer, gynecologic cancer and the Phase-1 portfolio • Close collaboration with marketing and market access for launch readiness • Organization and leadership of medical events (e.g advisory boards, symposia, study group meetings)

• Development of a national strategy for site selection and activation for the standard care with KYMRIAH • Education of clinical sites for the standard clinical care with KYMRIAH in pediatric ALL • Medical support of the dossier, opinion and hearing during the course of G-BA benefit assessment of KYMRIAH • Close collaboration with marketing and market access to develop and establish a local brand plan and strategy

• Planning and conduction of translational oncology trials together with a multidisciplinary team (DRA, operations) • Strategic shaping of the local study landscape by evaluation of study sites through regular site visits and portfolio discussions with investigators • Point of contact for scientific and clinical study inquiries concerning early development trials and compounds both internal and external • Scientific and study-specific training of field force and in-house colleagues

• Bioinformatic support in target verification through the analysis of genomic datasets • Scientific and bioinformatic support in the development of target product profiles • Supported the scientific part of newly developed research and clinical projects

Work conducted in the lab of Prof. Andreas Trumpp – Stem Cells and Cancer, DKFZ Heidelberg • Analyzed the tumor subtype-specific mutation profile via exome sequencing of over 100 primary patient tumors as part of the Heidelberg Institute of Personalized Oncology • Examined pathways and molecular determinants involved in pancreatic cancer drug resistance • Cooperation with the National Centrum for Tumor-diseases (NCT), Heidelberg for translation of subtype-specific drug sensitivities into clinical studies

Work conducted in the lab of Prof. Andreas Trumpp – Stem Cells and Cancer, DKFZ Heidelberg • Developed a novel, long-term primary culture model for human pancreatic cancer • Described a set of novel biomarkers for pancreatic tumor subtypes enabling clinical patient stratification • Analyzed subtype-specific pathway activities, applying genomic and functional screening technologies • Organized industry collaborations (Merck KGaA, Heidelberg Pharma)

Work conducted in the lab of Prof. Christopher Heeschen – Department of Surgery, University Clinic Munich • Generation and analysis of the miRNA expression profile of pancreatic cancer stem cells • Established protocols for digestion of primary tumor samples for high-yield single tumor cells • Isolation of pancreatic cancer stem cells from primary tumor samples using FACS technique

Work conducted in the lab of Prof. Christopher Heeschen – Department of Surgery, University Clinic Munich • Investigation of the promoter structure of the cancer stem cell marker CD133 in pancreatic cancer • Design of expression vectors for lethality genes driven by CD133-specific promoters

Work conducted in the lab of Prof. George Owttrim – Department of Biochemistry • Established optimal conditions for crystallizing cyanobacterial RNA helicases CrhB and CrhC • Participated in the initial analysis of developed crystals at the synchrotron Stanford

• Generation of expression plasmids for large-scale production of proteins • Purification and analysis of the integrity of target proteins by various different methods (Western Blot, proteomics)
