Performing research about additive manufacturing of metals. I have specialised in high energy ball milled, mechanically alloyed materials. Micro metal matrix composite powders are reinforced with sub-micron / nano-particles to be used in selective laser melting machines.

Main distributor of StopTech High Performance Brakes, which are imported directly from the US. Besides that, development for customer specific products was performed. Various technology partners, Novilis was able to act as center of excellence. Available technologies: laser cutting, water jet cutting, CNC milling / drilling and additive manufacturing of plastics and even metals.

Working with US Department of Defence standards; eg. MIL-STD-1388 Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and DOD 4100; performing Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RM&A) studies including Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Built-in Test (BIT) Analysis and Maintainability Predictions, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); determining maintenance concepts, performing task analysis, and documenting results in a MIL-STD-1388 LSA database

During my internship I am working on my master thesis, which is about a technical and economical comparison of subtractive vs. additive manufactured prototypes. These parts were made of Aluminum and Inconel. Beside some functional tests of prototypes, static material tests of various specimen were done. Rapid Prototyping technologies are able to reduce lead times and produce fully operational prototypes for dyno testing.
