Within this role I was required to oversee a small number of staff in order to ensure that the produce department was fully stocked ready for opening time and that stock was arranged in a logical fashion in order to maximise sales. Furthermore I managed shop floor inventory and communicated with customers in an informative and courteous manner so as to ensure that good relationships are maintained and repeat custom achieved. Working as a valuable team member is vital to the continued success of the store.

In this highly varied role within a small local business I maintained sales and purchase orders in SAGE, reconciled bank and petty cash statements, processed supplier invoices, conversed with customers, dealt with suppliers for the order of materials as well as credit checked customers & suppliers and maintained records.

This position involved operating the checkouts and handling stock while working as a team member to ensure that duties were carried out effectively. Also, being customer focused, assisting with queries, providing clear communication and demonstrating knowledge about products to enable customers to make informed decisions.
