Student Intern for Research on Supercritical jet Disintegration

• Realized experimental work on supercritical jet disintegration in a high-pressure chamber using PLIF to determine the conditions leading to an improved mixing efficiency. • Studied the jet breakups occurring in rockets, gas turbines and diesel engines. • Undertook the comparison of single/multi-species systems. • Analyzed the core length and jet spreading angle.

Research Project on Indoor Air Pollution Reduction

• Prepared and performed numerical simulations for the research project “FORMUL’AIR” on indoor air pollution reduction (due to formaldehyde) in a typical classroom. • Conducted a parametric study of the air renewal upon opening of windows/doors while the pollutant concentration and distribution during the production and renewal periods were examined.

• Investigated numerically (RANS) the hydrogen/air supersonic combustion over a flat plate for external flows ranging from Mach 7 to Mach 10. • Identified the local type of flame by using Takeno index. • Computed the auto-ignition delays in vitiated air with different reaction mechanisms. • Carried out an analysis of the 3D vortices.
