Design and optimization of a multiproduct plant for the synthesis and purification of acetates via reactive distillation. The project was comprised of generation of process flowsheet alternatives, thermodynamic and kinetic modelling, optimization of single-product and multiproduct designs. The aim of this project was the development of a suitable and economic attractive process that satisfies the constraints of producing different products and minimizes the sum of total annual costs.

Process engineering experience in spray dryers, plug flow reactors, burners, vaporizers, wet treatment, heat exchangers, condensers, centrifugal and slurry pumps, grinding of solids (steam micronizers), rotatory drum-filters, gas-solid separations (cyclones), and pneumatic conveying of solids.
