Continuation of Fourth Year Project. During the project we designed, created and tested a prototype gas detector for tri-cresyl phosphate and carbon dioxide gases. Using extensive knowledge of molecular physics, wave optics and electronics a detector based on non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology was built. The goal of the continuation of the project was to make the device more sensitive to lower concentration and build a more practical prototype.
