Manual and automated testing for SAP- and Web-based products in the field of logistics optimization.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, I am responsible with the creation and upgrade of test plans and testing scenarios for a variety of Siemens PLM software products (mainly multibody design and analysis), working in close contact with development and product management. I also create, maintain and debug automated tests (using Visual Basic and C++ scripts), and receive feedback from product management and clients in order to expand test coverage.

I was a trainee for 3 months, working on an experimental and numerical study for condition monitoring of a shock-absorber system, part of a research project funded by the EC 7th Framework programme. My task was to determine how the measured accelerations and displacements on a shock absorber can translate into a real-time evaluation of it's technical state, using multi-body analysis software (Virtual.Lab) and signal processing applications, such as MATLAB.

I worked for the FAG division of Schaeffler Group, in a production facility that manufactures large diameter bearings for trains and wind turbines. My task was to perform dimensional and surface quality measurements using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and contour scanning devices, verifying production as well as giving the go-ahead for new parts.
