I am part of the team teaching Enterprise Architecture in Carnegie Mellon's CIO Institute, part of CMU's Heinz College.

My group guides Ascension's overall technology strategy based on input from entities across Ascension. We also influence technology decisions within our Products organization via planning, roadmapping and innovation work, designing technology solutions and maintaining Ascenion's overall enterprise architecture.

As partner and Chief Architect with Diamond I define our Enterprise Architecture service offerings. I also develop business and technical blueprints for client's strategic business initiatives. My specialties include identifying leading-edge technologies, guiding innovation projects, justifying strategies for applying technology. I also lead architecture assessment and implementation efforts. I regularly assist clients defining their architecture organization, skills, and governance processes.

Managed various software development departments including developing client/server service tools for use by Dell technicians, developing adaptations to Microsoft DOS, OS/2, and Windows as well as Dell's pre-installed software projects. Helped design and implement a Novell based system used in factory to load software images onto PCs on manufacturing line.

- Started my career with the IBM 5520 development team as a system programmer. -Led technical team for development of several IBM PC LAN Program releases. - Designed and taught seminars on IBM OS/2 Database Manager and LAN Requester/Server. Developed IBM Database Manager. - Designed a distributed security subsystem as part of a team working with Microsoft to build a new distributed operating system for PC platforms. Wrote the design specification for this subsystem.
