David Rinaldi

I served the Governance and Public Administration Division assisting the Coordinator in chief of the “African Governance Report 2009” in researching and launching the publication. Substantial contribution to the study “Assessing the Efficiency and Impact of Anti-Corruption Institutions in Africa”. Moreover I collaborated with UN experts on the works of the African Peer Review Mechanism and the report “Mutual Review of Development Effectiveness in Africa”

Employee at the Department of Administration, Finance and Control. The primary duty consisted in account managing however I quickly reached a substantial role in managing financial relations with main commercial partners. The environment was not challenging enough therefore I quit for my PhD program.

I have been involved in UNDP-UNFPA Executive Board, Unicef Executive Board, South-South Cooperation High Level Committee, European Procurement Forum, as well as many other informal negotiations such as the EU coordination-meetings. I kept confidential communication regarding cooperation and development among the Permanent Mission of Italy, the UN-Secretariat, the UN-agencies, and the Ministry in Rome. I carried out research on: Good Governance, System Wide Coherence, Doha round, South-South Cooperation etc.

The objective of the position aimed at drawing and developing youth policies cooperating with local Public Administrations. During this part-time job, I coordinated a group of volunteers carrying out projects related to social development, sustainability, and multiculturalism. I gained experience in project management and public relations. Team work and personal initiative were the basic tools of my position.
