    Title - Implementation and Evaluation of Packet Loss Concealment Techniques for Bluetooth Voice Transmission - To reduce packet losses of Bluetooth due to interferences from WLAN, Packet Loss Concealment (PLC) techniques are investigated. Several of these techniques are implemented in MATLAB and evaluated using PESQ algorithm. From our results we concluded that PLC techniques could greatly improve the quality of Bluetooth Voice Transmissions.

    Title:Securing Wireless Coexistence in ISM Band in a Vehicular Environment - My main activities include designing and developing a simulation framework to study and understand the effects of Wireless Coexistence in a vehicular environment. As a part of this, physical layer models of wireless systems like Bluetooth v2.1+EDR, WLAN 802.11b/g are designed in Simulink as per their respective standard specifications. These models are combined into a configurable workbench to simulate the coexistence effects.

    Title: Implementation and Evaluation of CoRe-MAC in OPNET Modeler - My task is to implement and evaluate CoRe-MAC, a cooperative MAC protocol for 802.11 Wireless Systems in OPNET. My activities and responsibilities include extending the standard 802.11 CSMA/CA protocol to the design of CoRe-MAC and then to evaluate it under various simulation settings. Simulation results obtained are to be compared with the standard CSMA/CA and Coop MAC, another cooperative MAC protocol.

    Title: Implementation and Evaluation of Simple Packet Combining Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks - My task is to implement and evaluate Simple Packet Combining Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) based on ZigBee/802.15.4 by implementing, incorporating the algorithm into the communication protocol stack of WSN. It falls under the category of error correction schemes and was implemented on Tmote Sky sensor nodes with TinyOS and nesC programming. All details and results are documented.

    Title: Adaptive Cruise Control System - The main goal of the project is to create awareness among people (drivers) about Driver Assistance Systems for safe driving by inheriting the concepts of the existing systems used in automobiles. Our activities included demonstrating a mini vehicle like model equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system. The ACC system which we built is fully electronic and consisted of ultrasonic distance meters, PIC microcontrollers, driver circuits, DC motors, LCD displays.
