Dr. Dirk Spacek

I head the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) and Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Groups. New Media, Technology/IT-Transactions, Data Protection and Intellectual Property are the core of my practice. Advisory, transactional and contentious work. I also assist general corporate and commercial matters with a technology-driven focus (e.g. new internet business models, online contract terms, R&D-projects, technology joint ventures, entertainment business agreements).

Intellectual Property (contentious and transactional), general Litigation/Arbitration, administrative law (agriculture, competition, telecom).

Clerk: Assisting legal proceedings and drafting court decisions in various areas of the law, in particular divorce & inheritance disputes, criminal law, employment law (specialized employment court of Zurich), tenancy law, debt prosecution and enforcement of court decisions and arbitral awards followed by traineeship in mid-sized international law-firm. Worked for all practice groups (Corporate M&A, IP/IT & Competition, Sports Law, Litigation/Arbitration, Private Clients).

Conducting research and publishing mainly in the areas of IT-/E-Commerce & Internet-Law, Contract & Commercial Law, assisting students and holding examinations in corporate law as well as in the LL.M.-Program for International Business Law. Writing and submitting my thesis on the "Protection of TV-Formats, a legal an economic perspective".
