Development of Machine Learning-based Locomotion Software for legged robots

Postdoctoral Researcher in the Dynamic Legged Systems lab at IIT - Learning and deploying neural networks for predicting foothold and base adjustments in legged robots based on visual feedback. - Learning locomotion behaviors with model-free Deep Reinforcement Learning techniques in simulation (pybullet, RAISIM simulators, and NVIDIA Isaac Gym). - Give support to other members of the group in Machine Learning related topics. - Writing research project proposals for EU and national funding.

- Programming in C, C++ and Python. - Design, programming and implementation of locomotion, perception, localization, SLAM and motion planning algorithms for autonomous robots in ROS. - Programming of navigation algorithms of autopilot system in real-time embedded systems. - Development of shell scripts for GNU/Linux Operating Systems. - Programming and implementation of Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation systems for the navigation of autonomous robots. - Simulation of autonomous mobile robots.

- Applications development with Visual Basic. - Technical training and measurement for operational area project. - Employee personal data update in Oracle R12 System. - Plateau system training and consultancy to operational areas. - Statistics, indicators and documentation update of the Human Resources Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 standard. - Recruitment, selection, contract administration, job descriptions, training and development processes.

- Development of database of contractors with C++ and SQL. - Development of applications in VBA for Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. - Development of statistics by area, contractors and projects. - Analysis of health and safety data and information. - Review of incident investigation reports, monitoring of incident action plans and organisation of the safety committee. - Participation in safety inspections, issuing reports and maintenance of tracking evidence.
