Designed an autonomous exploration and mapping strategy for a manipulator robot equipped with an RGBD camera. Used OctoMap to track the current knowledge of the environment and a smart sampler to select the next best viewpoint. Developed the final solution from scratch using C++, ROS2 Humble, Moveit2, Git, Docker, OctoMap, Eigen, and PCL.
