Don Cameron

When the Vigilare Project (Prime Equipment) Contract was activated, Don Cameron rejoined the project (see below), in the roles of Design Engineer, acting Safety Manager, Security Engineer, Analysis and Design Team Lead, and System Architect, all in the System Analysis and Integration Team.

Don's responsibilities included: � Technical coordination of teams in a pilot roll-out at QEII Hospital This included technical issue tracking and management (using TestDirector), and managing a Change Control Board for the site. � Developing LDAP Java-based applications through the Novell NDS eDirectory. � Planning for WAN monitoring to assess the impact of infrastructure deployments, and the post-deployment audit process.

� Working on-site in a consultant role with large telecommunication OSS System Integrators. This required hands-on development in Java and C++, and close liaison with Australian-based product development and product support teams; � Developing and documenting architectural designs for OSS integration projects. � Developing technical material to allow System Integrators to rapidly become familiar with the Astracon products � Providing an architectural overview of Astracon products to companies

Boeing Australia has won the position of preferred supplier of the Vigilare Air Defence System (value ~M$100). Don was part of the System Analysis and Integration Team, developing the high level architecture for the system. 1998-1999: Boeing Australia had won the contract to develop an integrated HF radio network; Don was part of the Architecture Group, developing the high level architecture for the system.
