Working on projects in Ewing Sarcoma research. Main tasks and responsibilities include: • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, and managing inventory. • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols at BSL-2 laboratory, including handling hazardous materials and proper waste disposal. • Assisting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with their experiments. • Training and supervising lab personnel: both interns and students.

Worked at BSL-2 laboratory. Was managing and optimizing operations within Nexus technology platform. Main tasks and responsibilities included: • Training and supervising a team for COVID-19 sample pooling procedures. • Managing inventory of laboratory consumables and reagents. • Cultivating customer provided cell lines and organoids for automated experiments. • Calibrating and maintaining laboratory automation equipment such as Gyger Certus Flex.

Worked at BSL-1 laboratory assisting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with experiments. Main tasks and responsibilities included: • Preparing medium and solutions, maintenance of mouse embryonic stem cells. • Transfection of cell lines. • Colony picking, genotyping - DNA extraction, PCR and gel electrophoresis. • Histone and crude nuclear extraction for western blotting. • Genomic DNA isolation. • Performing Gibson cloning and bacterial transformation. • Lab management (maintaining equipment, order

Worked on a project studying the impact of slow wave sleep on Alzheimer’s disease in a Tg2576 mouse model. Main tasks and responsibilities included: • DNA analysis (tissue extraction, PCR and gel electrophoresis). • Microtomy and mounting of mouse brain cuttings. • Immunohistochemical, CongoRed and Thioflavin-S immunofluorescence staining. • High power bright field microscopy and stereology for qualitative and quantitative analysis of Aβ plaques. • Tissue homogenisation for Aβ and BACE1 extraction followed

Selling educational materials door-to-door in the US and Canada over the summers. • Responsible for all the aspects of the sales process: territory management, new client search, presentations, contract drafting and product delivery. • Approached over 1’000 families from various socio-economic groups. • Chaired weekly sales and training meetings.

Volunteered at an educational project, sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific and Vilnius University. "Mobile Bioclass" is a travelling laboratory, that promotes biosciences for high school students. Responsibilities: • managed the Mobile bioclass field trips; • delivered educational presentations to students; • taught them how to detect DNA molecules and identify genetic markers.
