Dyane Neiman

As founder & director of Moving Speaker in Berlin, she further researches and develops embodiment tools to enhance business communications, while developing a platform for her training and speaking engagements. The four-time Theaterzwang award-winning performer, choreographer, director and producer, Dyane Neiman believes: The shape of your body, can change your mind. The shape of your body, can change your attitude.

Dyane created the concept with 4 other professional dance choreographers/companies to join resources in order to lessen administrative costs & time, and as a result: ++++++ add time & !!!!!!!! energy & >>>>>>> focus to the creative process. As an active member for one year, she helped establish the corporate identity & mission and secure startup finances.

This biannual festival gives recognition to the most outstanding independent theater productions from artists living +/or creating in the NRW region of Germany. (This includes the cities of Cologne, Duesseldorf, Essen, Dortmund, Bonn, Wuppertal,Bielefeld, u.a.). As artistic director, Dyane considered circa 300 productions and narrowed the program down to 16 selected productions. Six of those productions were awarded prizes in the amount of 7,500 Euros and entry into a performance touring network.

Artistic Director of the 12. Theaterzwang Festival (2005-2006). Interim Chairperson of the Verband Darstellende Künste NRW (Performing Artists Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) (2006) Co-founded the Barnes Crossing Choreographers Network Cologne e.V (2006). AWARDS: Four consequential Theaterzwang Awards for “outstanding independent theater productions in NRW”: 1996, 1998, 2000 (mit Silke Z./resistdance), 2002. These awards enabled guest engagements throughout Germany and abroad.
