Barefoot Communications is a marketing and advertising agency that provides high-value digital marketing services to a range of small and medium sized enterprises located across Western Canada. Our core offerings are related to lead generation, sales funnel optimisation, and online presence management. My main focus within the business is the design of process delivery, technical fulfilment of service, project efficacy. I also manage new business development and key account growth.

As a BDR, my main task was to acquire new partners (B2B marketing agencies) of the Vendasta platform. Via inbound leads, I consulted with various agencies (1-50 employees), both local and international, to help design strategies for reselling white-labeled marketing services to SMBs. Responsibilities included: live walkthroughs of software, opportunity analysis with prospects, post-sale support and account success. In my time as a Vendasta sales rep, I was able to maintain a 100% partner retention rate.

Responsible for international sales prospecting, using a diverse mix of channels to reach, identify and book qualified potential partners for presentations for the Business Development team. Effectively utilized various forms of inbound marketing and traditional cold-calling techniques to identify potential partnership opportunities for Vendasta and was consistently in the division's top 2 performers for both appointments for BDRs and new partners acquired.

Responsible for the interviewing, training, development and daily coordination of employees in three separate departments of a restaurant with multiple millions of dollars in sales per year. Oversaw restaurant operations on weekend evenings, including the management of all floor staff throughout the duration of their shifts, along with restaurant atmosphere and security. Utilized economics to control staffing and labour costs and used promotional budgets to create additional business when appropriate.

Co-developed the product, business model, and pre-launch marketing of a smartphone-based direct taxi ordering software (called Tap-Cab) that was eventually released in multiple centres across Western Canada. Developed skills in new marketing trends (social media targeted advertising, website development, SEO, A/B testing) along with personal growth gained through the many challenges of being a bootstrap entrepreneur.

Implemented analysis processes to monitor inbound activity on company websites, along with SEO of company website. As part of the Sales department, utilized several outbound strategies to reach groups from 1-50 employees and pitch benefits coverage and GRSPs, along with individual financial planning. Committee member of Wiegers Care for Kids “Rant n’ Raise”, with focus on marketing and promotion, along with assisting with event planning and coordination

The majority of my studies focused on marketing techniques and strategy, international business strategy, entrepreneurship and business planning, and statistical analysis.
