Defining development of the service offering. Led product development phases of major investment bank/prime broker migration projects. Responsible for marketing of the Equities product (newsletters, byline articles, press, conferences) Worked closely with partners (stock exchanges, CCPs, CSDs, issuers, transfer agents, registrars & liquidity providers) on a number of industry issues.

Ownership of financial messaging (SWIFT, FPML, paper, RTGS) of Reuters back-office systems (KTP & K+TP) and covering FX, MM, OTC Derivatives & Securities. Managing relationship with partners (SWIFT, SWIFT Business Partners, reconciliation vendors..) Providing knowledge to presales teams, assisting in sales, delivering client presentations, managing scoping workshops for requirement definition and gap analysis, marketing, defining future versions of the product

As a Financial Engineer (close to a Business Analyst role) designed SWIFT messaging module for Reuters treasury & securities back office modules covering Confirmations, Payment, Settlement, Statement & Exceptions messages. Used latest XML technologies to achieve comprehensive message validation based on configurable rules. Also design and specification of an interface with SWIFTNet Accord via InterAct, and with FIN via MQSA/SAA Based near Paris, France

My mission was to do run various post-acquisition integration projects (create and run trainings, brochures, website, online guides, Siebel..) after Effix (as the RFS then was) merged with Treasury Backoffice supplier Diagram. Years later, this business unit was spun off and then taken over by Misys. Competitive analysis & market research

As a functional consultant implemented three Kondor+ sites covering front & middle office (FX, Money Markets, OTC Interest Rate & FX Derivatives, Paper & CD, Futures, Bonds). Became involved in pre-sales and in that context ran numerous workshops and demonstrations of Kondor+ and KVAR+ (an enterprise wide Value at Risk system). As part of that business development effort, had some success in public relations and marketing of Reuters as a vendor of risk management systems in the local (South African) market

During the two year programme I worked as a Product Manager focusing on equities broker research, a Project Manager focusing on the energy markets and a front line Account Executive where I developed considerable knowledge across a range of Reuters information & dealing products.
