My current position is as a Freelancer for the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU). I have been contracted to plan, design and create an environmental education programme for the communities living in the Kafa Biosphere Reserve in southern Ethiopia. The programme is designed to be delivered on a peer-to-peer basis and specifically adjusted to the circumstances. The main aims are to prevent deforestation in the afromontane cloud rainforest and to enable the region's sustainable development.

Worked as part of a team to prepare and deliver development, nature protection, and energy efficiency projects on behalf of German Ministries (BMWi, BMELV) and European regional funding programmes. Furthermore, I was involved in developing an Integrated Climate Protection Concept for the Segeberg district in Northern Germany. My responsibilities included partner coordination, recruitment of experts, public relations work (English and German), research, report writing and website development.
