During two internships, I expanded my molecular biology and plant genetics skill set. I worked on optimizing protein purification protocols for hormone receptors and the phylogenetic analysis of flowering time genes in monocots – gaining hands-on experience with protein biochemistry and bioinformatics. Supported lab operations and experimental work by maintaining Drosophila stocks, gaining early exposure to genetics and molecular biology research in an academic environment.

As part of my PhD, I investigated how plants with different photosynthetic types adapt to nitrogen deficiency. My research focused on the physiological and molecular basis of nutrient metabolism, aiming to contribute to our understanding of plant adaptation and sustainability in agriculture.
