Executed QA/QC procedures across lab and plant operations, supporting environmental compliance under ISO 14001 and safety protocols under ISO 45001. Conducted mechanical testing on plant equipment such as vortex finders, Knelson concentrators, and mill liners. Compiled analytical reports for KPI assessments, and contributed to the optimization of leaching processes in alignment with the International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC).

Rotated across field units and laboratory teams, conducting tests such as reagent purity testing, carbon PSDs, and floc settling trials while supporting daily sampling and analysis workflows. Within three months, I adapted quickly to the demands of a complex metallurgical plant environment, integrated seamlessly with a multicultural workforce, and demonstrated reliability across safety and technical tasks-earning the opportunity to return for over a year of National Service.

I supported quality assurance of construction materials by conducting civil engineering materials tests such as Atterberg limit tests, compaction tests, impact testing, moisture content analysis on aggregates used in highway construction. My work ensured materials conformed to national engineering standards and contributed to foundational road safety and structural durability across active civil works projects.

Course covered both Ghanaian mining regulations (LI 2182) and international labour standards (ILO Conventions 155, 161, 187, and more). Training emphasized hazard identification and risk control, PPE protocols, emergency planning, confined space safety, electrical safety, fleet safety, fire prevention, and ergonomic management systems. Program culminated in a comprehensive evaluation of safety management systems in high-risk industrial settings.

Graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) (NQF & EQF Level 6 / 240 ECTS). Core competencies developed include mechanical and materials testing, failure analysis, non-destructive testing, materials quality control, assurance and selection. Coursework also included engineering economy and entrepreneurial management, providing solid grounding in business-oriented decision-making. Final thesis focused on the failure analysis of a polymer matrix conveyor belt.
