Evelin Balog

As a Marketing Science Consultant, I support clients across industries – from FMCG to finance – in developing data-driven marketing strategies. My role involves analyzing complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and advising on campaign optimization, customer segmentation, and brand performance. I collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to design tailored solutions that enhance marketing effectiveness and business impact.

At the University of Augsburg, I conducted research in the field of cognitive psycholinguistics with a focus on language processing and bilingualism. I was responsible for designing and executing experimental studies, analyzing linguistic and behavioral data, and publishing research findings. In addition, I taught courses in linguistics and psychology, supervised student theses, and contributed to curriculum development in the language and cognition program.

In my role as a lecturer, I designed and delivered undergraduate and graduate courses in psycholinguistics, cognitive science, and empirical research methods. I guided students through complex theoretical frameworks and supported them in developing analytical and scientific thinking skills. My responsibilities included curriculum development, academic mentoring, and supervising empirical student projects based on data collection and statistical analysis.

I have been dealing with business correspondence; looking for potential partners in business projects; working on grant proposals; translating business papers from Hungarian and English into Ukrainian; I have been responsible for activity planning and sequencing.

Visiting Researcher

In my PhD research, I investigated the cognitive mechanisms underlying language processing and bilingualism. Using empirical methods, I designed and conducted experimental studies, collected and analyzed behavioral data, and tested hypotheses related to cross-linguistic influence and cognitive control. My dissertation contributed to a deeper understanding of how bilingual individuals process and manage multiple linguistic systems.
