We are designing and developing cutting edge research MRI coils and are soon lunching our first products. I'm leading project throughout a project's life cycle and perform engineering tasks.

PhD project: Development and optimization of software for hippocampus delineation and other subcortical structures Subprojects: - Regional hippocampus segmentation comparison of manual and automatic segmentation methods - Analysis of inter-observer hippocampus delineation variability for radiotherapy applications - Validation of the semi-automatic delineation method for other sub-cortical brain structures - Using and comparing deformable image registration method to determine hippocampal atrophy

Project: Implementation of a protocol for a MRI sequence to capture the articular cartilage in the knee Work: - Implementing of partial Fourier reconstruction methods to improve efficiency of 3D MR imaging (in MatLab) - Testing T1-roh weighted MR pulse sequences to capture the articular cartilage of the knee - Implement a filter to correct for image blurring

Project: Design and construction of a MRI knee- and head-coil MRI knee-coil: - Assembled an open phased array knee-coil for 1.5T MRI so that the knee can be flexed and scanned in different positions MRI head-coil: - Assembled an rotary phased array head-coil for 3T MRI
