Developed and implemented investment strategies for local and foreign institutional clients. Led team of analysts at several road shows for institutional funds in Boston, NY, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Worked on the Subcontinent Desk of the Securities Dealing Unit for UBS. Developed and streamlined process flow of the Unit’s sales and dealing for equity securities in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Developed and executed Arbitrage Trading Product of GDRs-Local Stock transactions for Institutional clients. Achievements resulted in UBS acquiring brokerage seat at the KSE and commencing operations in Pakistan.

Team sold USD100m of PTCL GDRs to foreign investors. Accounts serviced included Local and Foreign Institutional Investors as well as Foreign Brokers. Developed the Policy and Procedural Manual for Equity Sales, Dealing and Settlements. Assisted in development of systems software for automated trade order input, execution and management. Worked as a financial analyst in the company’s Research Unit. Sectors covered: Telecom, Cement, Financials. Was instrumental in setting up the Research Unit

Worked in both the Business Development Unit and Settlement Unit of the bank’s Custodial Services Group. Developed client guidelines and documents pertaining to legal and statutory aspects of FIIs in Pakistan. Structured a Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria Programme for extending funding lines to local brokers for DVP trades.
