Commercial operation consists of the specialist areas Commercial Project Management, Project Cost Controlling, Bid Controlling and Project Insurance

Development, implementation and update of new QM-Procedures (Tools and Governance), the respective workflows and KPI’s for the Commercial Project Execution processes worldwide according to corporate standards and governance principals. Alignment of the commercial processes with all internal stakeholders. Development, alignment, implementation and follow up of a standardized Project Reporting worldwide.

Development and implementation as well as follow-up and improvement of Commercial Project Execution practices in project execution in cooperation with related companies regarding contractual and tax issues, transfer pricing, risk distribution, project controlling, smart execution practices Development and implementation of related guidelines together with accounting, corporate controlling, tax, Project Management and legal.

Implementation and execution of Commercial Project Management and Project Controls Management framework and processes with all related interphases (EPCm lump sum and reimbursable cost+ contract type) executed through 3 entities (Germany, USA, India) for an Ammonia plant in USA (EPCm). Implementation and execution of complex customer reporting in coordination with other stakeholders.

Disciplinary and professional leading and management of an international team for Project Cost Controlling for execution of large size international EPC projects (cost-to-complete, earned value, risk/opportunity evaluation, project turnover/result forecasting under IFRS policies, commercial reporting).

Leading role as Project Manager in claim evaluation, preparation of the case for legal dispute and successful litigation according to Swiss Law including the successful enforcement of > 30 mn€ arbitration award

Nominated as senior expert to review expected cost, financial results, claims and opportunities as Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager in cement plant project regarding deviations in execution at a related company together with external audit/review team

Responsible lead for carve-out of projects from one related company and the implementation of commercial project data into the SAP/S4HANA at receiving company (cost and invoicing data) Switch from HGB to IFRS policies in financial reporting

Responsible for implementation of a new ERP system (SAP/S4HANA) at US entity including data takeover from former ERP system, all related to Commercial Project Management

Senior management evaluations of subcontractor claims with subcontractor’s project team for amicable claim settlement to avoid litigation during execution of a Polyol complex in Hungary (EPC).

Commercial Project Execution during bid phase incl. customer and consortium contract negotiations for Ammonia/urea complex, Egypt, (EPC) and Turkmenistan (EPCm)

Implementation and execution of Commercial Project Management and Project Controls for LSTK project for a nitric acid/ammonia nitrate/CAN, in Turkey (EPC) being responsible also as Project Director during last 1,5 years of execution (Construction and Commissioning) as well as during the 2 years of warranty period

Disciplinary/professional leading and management of an international team for Project Cost Controlling for large international EPC project (cost-to-complete, risk/opportunity evaluation, project turnover/result forecasting under corporate accounting policies, commercial reporting). 2010 - 2012: Development/implementation/lead of team for Commercial Site Management at international construction sites, implementation of respective workflows, processes and procedures according to company standards/governance.

Definition and implementation of database for time scheduling (Primavera) and progress measurement, procedures for progress measurement for large EPC contracts as well as KPI's for Project Controls.
