I attended the International Doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering between the University of Florence in Italy and the University of Braunschweig in Germany. My research topic concerned the reliability assessment of existing structures with probabilistic methods and Bayesian updating techniques. I focused the attention on modern structures made of steel and concrete and heritage buildings made of masonry and wood, also considering the impact of seismic actions on the structure.
