Francisco Benito-Lopez

I joined EVS to help restructuring a team that had lost its core members, leading them into changing old practices and embracing an Agile methodology (Scrum). Learning about a new and exciting business, as it is Broadcasting, is a nice challenge. Together with the team, I have managed to overcome the initial difficulties, and rebuild the team and its spirit, to successfully release evolutive versions of existing system, as well as a revolutionary new technology, that breaks with all former developments.

I joined TE Connectivity in 2014 to lead the HW development team in a contactless connectivity Project. During this time I doubled my duties as development lead, to take over developer team management, taking part in selection processes, representing the team in direction meeting and drafting individual development plans for each team member. I also had active participation in resource and project planning, and requisite definition and capture.

Onboard HW division creator. My tasks included writing and adoption of standards and protocols, company's HW projects managing and envisioning, and subcontractors/providers tracking. I was the responsible for HW architectures, from requisite specification, schematic capture and PCB design to validation and test programs and VHDL firmware coding. I was also responsible for creating a prototyping lab and staff recruiting.

I started as digital HW designer for defence and aerospace projects, taking part in requisite definition, component selection, schematic capture, PCB design and FW/SW coding. I have been involved in several international projects and I was responsible for schematic/PCB tools selection for the department, and training of staff. Acquired great experience in FPGAs, both from xilinx and Altera.

Suport to the Project team implementing UMTS technology for Vodafone Spain. Managing of radioelectric measurement researchs, control and tracking of subcontractors. Definition, contracting and follow-up of electric supply for antenna emplacements.

Intern in Spanish Air Force Center of Transmissions within Logistic Command, helping with quality assurance protocols for trasponders and testbenches.
