I developed reaction conditions for the preparation of different liquid crystals ensuring device quality and purity. The upscaling of the reactions optimized by myself and the development of suitable purification methods for synetheses in litre scale was just as part of my tasks as the safety assessment of said reactions. The choice of reagents was made in regard of possible transfer to lager scales. Analytical methods conducted were HPLC, GC-MS, GC-ICP-MS as well as NMR.

My research tackled the issue of organic semiconducting materials. I was able to further educate myself in preparative organic chemistry and synthesis planning. I obtained broad knowledge in modern synthetic methods. I extended my theoretical and practical knowledge of common analytical methods.
