Über mich
I am a Mechanical Engineer finishing my Doctorate (PhD) study in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, in the field of Materials Science, the same that I received my master’s degree in 2019 In 2019, I was invited to Germany by RWTH Aachen University to work as a guest researcher. And a year later, in 2021, I was accepted as an Exchange Student in RWTH Aachen University, Germany, to continue my work on the research at the Welding and Joining Institute (ISF). I have experience in Academia in materials science, with emphasis on the study of mechanical, physical, and metallurgical properties of welded metallic alloys and in Industry in planning and control of performance indicators for mechanical maintenance and production. My communication skills are very good and I speak Portuguese (native), English, and Spanish. I am proactive, dynamic, punctual, creative, organized, and methodical. I succeed and enjoy working in both individual and in teamwork.

Ausbildung von Gabriela Aksascki Caetano
Bis heute 5 Jahre und 2 Monate, seit März 2019
PhD Candidate in Mechanical Engineer
Federal University of Espírito Santo
Grantee of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) - I study the properties of duplex stainless steel welded by autogenous TIG process and mechanical properties and applicability of metal-ceramic composite. I did a sandwich time at the Welding and Joining Institute (ISF) at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), where I studied the properties of welded materials with low transformation temperature (LTT).
2 Jahre, Apr. 2017 - März 2019
Master of Mechanical Engineering
Federal University of Espírito Santo
Project of the development of a receptacle for transport of radioactive materials associated with the future Brazilian Multipurpose Nuclear Reactor (RMB), in partnership with the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (IPEN - SP). I studied the influence of post TIG welding heat treatments on the mechanical properties of stainless steel. I was trained and operated the Gleeble thermomechanical simulator coupled to synchrotron light at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS - CNPEM).
