Accomplishments: - Delivered the first ‘No Boundaries’ attraction and compiled a proposal template for future sales.

    Mechanical Design and Support Engineer for Naval Bridge Technology

    Designing vibration proof aluminum enclosures housing electronic equipment on bridge decks. Responsible for calibration of transponders, VHF antennas and radars through factory acceptance tests. Performing FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) on existing designs and presenting design alternatives and considerations for long life reliability. Preparing costing estimates and writing and presenting project proposals to customers.

    Junior Aerospace Engineer

    Designed and tested dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma actuators for aerodynamic flow separation control. Gathered high voltage and current data on oscilloscopes to then analyze using Matlab and determine optimum actuator operating conditions. Constructed the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle test plane and NACA airfoils using glass fiber molding. Improved flight dynamics of UAV through successful implementation and testing of actuators. Final project thesis available upon request.

    Aided in testing of software loading (SL) systems (OverTheAirSL and WebSL) that were used to upgrade mobile devices. Gathered data and coordinated testing amongst local teams to test virtual keyboard concepts for the new BB10 platform. Communicated with partner team in Slough, UK providing input and editing for reports and presentations for high-level stakeholders.

    Junior Biomedical Engineer

    Simon Fraser University

    Investigated stress and strain thresholds on spinal cord injuries and possible preventative measures. Employed Mimics to determine spinal cord and fluid ratios and implemented various material properties to mimic in-vivo conditions. Created 3D models of spinal segments in Abaqus, used Finite Element Analysis to simulate compression injury and formally presented results.
