Dr. Hanno Svoboda

I am a part of the Neuroscience & Rare Disease Leadership team in Pharma Research and Early Development at Roche. I lead a group of senior asset leaders (Ph0-2) responsible for the early Neuroscience Portfolio. I am responsible for a number of strategic initiatives in the are of Neuroscience and early R&D. I also lead the Prasinezumab program in Parkinson's Disease which is currently in a large Ph2b study (PADOVA).

I work as the ‘CEO of the molecule’, leading large matrix teams for in-house and partnered assets. I led Prasinezumab from Ph2 PASADENA readout to the ongoing Ph2b PADOVA in Parkinson’s Disease. I also brought Trontinemab into GLP tox, First in Human studies, and Ph1b/2a Brainshuttle AD in Alzheimer’s Disease among other programs. My area of experience includes mAbs, small molecules, antisense oligos, and innovative approaches such as digital outcome measures.

I provided strategy and execution advice for ~30 clinical projects on corporate, portfolio, and team level, and led key global strategic initiatives for the R&D head. I acted as liaison for M&A, business, pipeline, and development committees in neuroscience, ophthalmology and rare diseases.

I participated and later led project teams for pharma, medtech, private equity, and agrochemical clients. This included projects on corporate strategy, marketing, sales, market access, pricing, Big Data, transformation, product strategy, R&D, and M&A. My projects were located in different European countries and Japan.

conducted laboratory research on synaptogenesis, Fragile X, and brain development (Supervisor Prof. Christine Holt, FRS), co-authored four peer-reviewed papers, and presented at conferences. I also participated in Judge Business School venture programs, in a European politics group, and served as the president of the Cambridge University Energy Society for a year.
