    The focus is especially on the influence of the thermal treatment time and temperature on the structure and microstructure of the inverse alumina opals. Another important part of this work is the influence of the self-assembly parameters on the structure and optical properties of the inverse alumina opals. The final objective is the understanding of the sintering mechanisms and structure evolution path on highly porous structures.
