Initially build up a robotic lab around a colony picker. Subsequently headed the rebuilding of the small scale fermentation department including associated analytics (e.g. flow cytometry). Finally became senior scientist with a focus on microbial physiology and fermentation development including upscaling

Enzymes, fermentation, physiology, bacteria, fungi, aerobic fermentation in small scale, development and application of analytics for fermentation analysis (flux analysis). Manager of department of microbial biosynthesis focusing initially on penicillin biosynthesis and later on general fermentation development
